A Welsh Pudding

Melt ½ lb. Butter by setting it in a basin floating in hot water &
gradually mix with it the beat yolks of 4 eggs & whites of two,
sweeten with fine powdered sugar & season with the grate of a lemon & a little nutmeg.

Bake ¾ of an hour in a dish with an ornamented paste border
when ready place slices of citron or candied peel round the edges.
