Recd two Telegrams from
Sir John. Drove to town in Handsom
saw Powell re his instructions
to Tuck to which I took exception.
Carry came for me at 2.30 – &
we went to call on Mrs. Dr. Helmcken
on our return found the Admiral
& Garforth waiting – they all went in
Pony Carriage to Mrs. Wards tennis
