Kathleen dearest

How sweet of you to write to me . my boy is safe & wires “all right” to us. I dont think the account has been exaggerated because his wire to the office said (had a very bad time} but he is safe at San Luis [?] V’ is a gt comfort. at first it was a shock but I soon [?]he had escaped & was safe & all right V’ was such a relief. I am much better but have been very poorly. The on wd not let me stay in my own house but sent me right out of it & I staid with Ld Chesterfield & then my Charlie for five weeks & came home on Tuesday last only. Harry has been over at Dinard for a fortnight doing another cure. & he seems enjoying it much comes home next week. When are you coming opposite I hope soon I long to see you again. That dear letter of yours went to my heart I assure you God bless you

yr ever loving

D. Chesterfield
