My dear Kathleen

I am writing to ask you to be very kind & to give me a donation for the League of Mercy. We all know the splendid work it has been doing for years & even though I realize that you must be assisting many other charities just now, I am certain you will not fail this old and valued friend of our great Hospitals

Forgive me if I trouble you but this is my 15th year as President and the success of the League of Mercy lies very close to my heart. Help me do if you can & will – and I will thank you very gratefully.

Sincerely Yours

D. Chesterfield
