Dearest Kathleen
yr letter was such a pleasure. I have thought sometimes why did you never write to me. I thought “perhaps she has forgotten me” but bu no & yr dear letter was such a pleasure to receive not a word too long. I cd instead have done even with twice as much dear child I assure you I am in Scotland since the middle of Oct. Having been here once before in August for 3 weeks to open a big sale of work for my sister for he[?] Railway Mission & then I went back to London to see after my Charlies wife & be with her she had a darling little girl wh has been a joy for twice [?] one an [?] so we were all anxious but she & the baby have been so well every since & we are so thankful I am just expecting Charlie here now in a few minutes to see me for a few days & then I think I shall go back to London with him but it has been very nice here we 3 sisters together —
Today Saturday as [?] [?] but instead the Doctors [?] not to so he had no servants & c not get them but wd send at once when he got them too vexatious is in [?] [?]come yet & he wants to get away from Hensol. Very tired of it & as you know does not [?]much for the [?] – – I do hope he will like [?] & the air there is very good & bracing. We too are feeling much the loss of friends & one specially “Killed & Missing” such a dear fellow & many others – for they [two lines that are indiscernible – too faint]
