Dear Mrs. O’Reilly
Sir Robert Arbuthnot & I want to have a small luncheon party on Thursday next; if they would all like to come, which I very much hope they will, can Mr. Jack bring Miss O’Reilly and Miss Cornwall down to the boat at Foster’s Pier? If the former is not sufficient escort, Mrs. Wastie Green, Mrs. Baillie Johnson[?], & Mrs. Croft will be coming on board at the same time. I think Miss Ward the Miss Hills & Mr. Snowden are the only other ones. Please say yes. I promise that they shall get home early, as we shall no doubt be all the better for a little repose before Mrs. Barnard’s dance. I’m sorry we could not have chosen another day, but our time is now so short that we found no other was available. Our departure is now fixed for Thursday week the 12th.
Believe me
Sincerely yours
Harry Stanhope
