Dear Miss O’Reilly
Many thanks for your letter. I have been touring about, and my mother appeared here a few days ago. I am going to take her to Peebleshire tomorrow. I have arranged for shooting &c till the end of September, and shall in all probability be in London some time in October & hope to see you before you leave for B.C. I hope your father is really in better health after Aix. There was great woe up here among the Erskines, at his the Admiral not getting Portsmouth. I should l like to see Admiral Hotham in Southsea society.
With kind regards to your father and yourself. Ever yours sincerely
Harry Stanhope
