Dear Miss O’Reilly

How kind of you to send me such a lovely Xmas card, with a picture of the “Aria” . Many thanks for it. I can remember the view from your garden as if it was yesterday. I am only passing through town and looking in to my Club saw Mr .Snowden with Capt. Hunter-Blair. I was so glad to see him again, and must go and call on Mrs. S. when I get a chance, she is in Sloane Street. I’m afraid that any chance of employment seems to be looming farther & farther away . It is rather a nuisance doing nothing, but I meet a good many others in my profession doing the same, & longing to be employed, so I must’nt growl. We are having most wonderfully mild weather, but plenty wind & rain. Please remember me to all

Ever yours sincerely

Harry Stanhope
