Fine morning, slight rain
about noon – The Wards, Hughes,
Snowden & Brian Drake played
Tennis. slight rain.
Ward & wife, Alice Willy & Hughes
dined with us.

Saturday 19

A cold raw day slight rain
Hick & [left blank] worked at the
hay in the afternoon.
Puss & Frank went in the
boat for a pull to Esquimalt
The Band of the Triumph played
at the Govt buildings.
Garford called – also D Davie
with whom I had a long chat at
the gate.
