Creek with Drs Mitchell & Wood – 
Croker &c – lunched on the bank of the 
River.  Fished down & got home at 
8 OC P.M.

Took lessons from Dr Wood in 
skinning and birds [stuffing] birds.

Reported the case of Pollard to the Mr Young
Wrote to Col Moody with reference to 
the HBC claim of land in Langly –

Arrived at Queenborough at 10-  Saw Col 
Moody &c &c, walked over the lots – Met

Mayne for £150-  Took over Court House 
& Jail.  Wrote to McMahon & enclosed a 
letter to Mamsey

Indian escaped from Jail 
heard the case against Forester & 
Sandford  Went to Langly to examine 
the ground – where the volley occurred – 
admitted the prisoner to Bail.

Up at 5 – Started in Rev Boat 
with Newton for Queenborough – Queens 
Birth day.  Races – Flat & Hardie &c 
&c &c – Dined with the Engineers
Slept on the Plumper – 
a very jolly day.

Called on Mrs Moody Mrs Spalding 
& walked over the [illegible] with Dr Wood 
& Brown – dined and slept on board the 
Plumper.

Man drowned off the Beaver at
