Drove with Puss to call on
Mr. & Miss Galt at the Driard, but
learned that they had left last night.
In Office had long chat with
Harrison re Metlakatla – also with
Powell – Ward & wife & Alice, also
Col Baker, & Mr. & Mrs. Nelson dined
with us.

Friday 26

Fine day, soft & mild. Remained
at home. Frank finished the
cementing of the outer Cellar
floor.
Engaged “Sing” as Cook &c &c
at $30- pr month to commence
work tomorrow.
Charley. Cook. left — children
Party at Mrs. Wards. Carry Puss & Frank
