I was just so delighted to hear of your doings yesterday Though I have not had time to read it though Thanks dear boy – good luck & God bless you Telegraph if successful

I shall be very anxious, Your Mother’s letter I can not read yet. I hope I may catch the Trip[?] – with [?] from N.Y. Hugh will assist you with Telegraph if you wish

*1  — 2020 – The date here is uncertain. The letter was included with the 1888–89 collection, mixed in the beginning of the 1888 letters. It appears Peter returned to Victoria from N.Y. in early 1888, and so it makes sense that this letter may be from 1887.
